Meaningful lives

Through our lifestyle assessment and talking to the residents day by day we find out individuals’ interests. We then where possible provide them with the opportunity to pursue that activity or interest.

On a daily basis we engage our residents in various activities including individual interests and hobbies, discussions, bingo, arts and crafts, board games, quizzes, skittles, singalongs, relaxation sessions and pampering sessions i.e. manicures, cosmetics, hairdressing.

We employ two nursing assistant/drivers to take residents on regular trips in Eden Place’s 14-seater minibus which our residents thoroughly enjoy.

These trips take place at least four times a week.

Places regularly visited include the Cotswolds for tea and cream cakes, carvery dining in pleasant village surroundings, the numerous country parks and gardens, concerts and entertainment at local theatres, places of historical interest including Stratford-upon-Avon and the many local community centres.

Individual residents are regularly taken out on accompanied shopping and social trips.

We closely liaise with the many local mental health day centres and services which are attended by our residents using Eden Place’s transport when required.
