Hyacinths in the courtyard at Eden Place These homes have been highly commended and are based on ‘group living’. They are for adults with mental illness over 18 years of age (there is no upper age limit). Residents have to be partially independent. The aims of these houses are ‘slow stream’ rehabilitation. Residents may be staying indefinitely, or working towards becoming more independent and moving on to less supported accommodation.

Both homes are provided with staff support during the day only, although the support from the staff at Eden Place, including the on-call Manager, is available 24 hours a day. Residents have a named nurse and medication, finances, etc. are organised by Eden Place.
